Description
This is a beautiful spalted maple platter that measures 14-3/8″ wide by 3-1/2″ deep. Hand-drawn and Lichtenberg figures were added to enhance the beauty of the rim of the platter. Lichtenberg figures are created by applying very high-voltage to a wood surface. These produce branching, treelike patterns that are burned into the wood and then refined by careful sanding. A hand-applied, multi-coat lacquer finish has been placed on the piece.
